THE CONCEPT

JUG is based the simple idea that you need to provide a space for the valuable content that talented people produce.

There are never enough editorial venues for that kind of content, for the stories that miss out, for the beautiful things happening around us that often go unnoticed.

There is also a lot of frustration that comes along with many of those stories, but all of them turn that into something good. We’re interested in featuring that good stu somewhere - that’s the idea behind JUG.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN JUG

JUG features a wide selection of content that’s both creative and serious. We focus of lifetyle related issues - from stories of people practicing in di erent creative fields or reccomendations of places to journalistic pieces analysing local society.

The first issue of the magazine featured pieces from both proeminent figures in the local culture and more unconventional authors: Dan Perjovschi, former communist dissident Gabriel Andreescu, Michael Bird, Mihai Ghiduc, Vlad Tăușance, Raluca Feher, Silviu Gherman, Eugen Ciurtin, Ioana Vighi and others. All of the articles were coupled with valuable works from local artists which were selected by the magazine’s editorial team.

FUTURE OF JUG

We have big plans for the next issue of JUG - it will feature new sections, more appealing graphics plus an assortment of subjects both entertaining & relevant to our contemporary social landscape.

Our long term plans include building an online platform and possibly starting our own podcast series. The business also aims to provide an outlet for journalists, artists and all sorts of creative people for the content that they produce.

In a world where there’s an influx of easily consumable, poor quality content, we think there’s an incresingly bigger space for publications such as ours.
